Disconnection

Disconnection

Find out everything you need to know about our disconnection service.

Our experts can take care of disconnecting your old appliance as soon as they’ve dropped off your new one. Find out what we can and can’t disconnect, along with everything else that’s included in this service down below.

Disconnection with installation

Disconnection usually comes included as part of our hassle-free installation service. If you’re getting one of these products installed already, we’ll handle the disconnection too, at no extra cost:

  • Integrated laundry appliances
  • Integrated cooling appliances
  • Integrated dishwashers
  • Cooking appliances

Just a quick note: if you’re buying a freestanding appliance to replace an old integrated one, we won’t be able to disconnect it.

If we’re disconnecting a fridge or freezer, make sure it’s been defrosted, is free from any water and has been completely emptied. Sadly, we can’t accept leftover takeaways, half-empty milk cartons or forgotten ice-lollies.

What else can we disconnect?

Don’t need installation? No worries. We can still disconnect these products for you:

  • Freestanding washing machines
  • Freestanding washer dryers
  • Freestanding dishwashers and slimline dishwashers
  • American fridge freezers with a plumbed water dispenser

Just add the service to your basket before you checkout and you’re good to go.

What can't we disconnect?

We don't offer our disconnection service on the following appliances:

  • Vented tumble dryers
  • Freestanding microwaves
  • Cooker hoods

Also, we can only disconnect an integrated appliance if you’ve bought a new integrated one from us and added the installation service. The same applies with hardwired appliances – we can only disconnect your old one if you’ve bought a new hardwired appliance with installation from us.

Remove & Recycle

Need to get rid of your old product? We can do that for you too. We can take it to our state-of-the-art recycling facility, where we’ll dispose of it in a safe and responsible way. Simply select our Remove & Recycle service in the checkout and we’ll take your old appliance with us when we deliver your new one.

What will happen to my old appliance?

Disconnection prices start from just £5 but vary depending on the product. We'll let you know when you get to the checkout.

Not at all.

Unfortunately, we don't offer disconnection in Northern Ireland.

Of course. Just contact us on live chat or give us a call by 2pm the day before your delivery and we can sort it out for you.

Not unless you choose one of our premium installation packages. This is so we can send a specially trained electrician to disconnect your old model and connect the new one safely.

If you've bought an installation package with a new integrated appliance, then yes. Disconnection isn't available as a separate service for integrated appliances. And if you're buying a freestanding product but your old one is integrated, we won't be able to disconnect it.

Yep – our experts can disconnect both gas and electric cookers. We'll ask you when you get to the basket which type you have, just so we can come prepared.

If we're disconnecting a fridge or freezer, make sure it's fully defrosted and free from any water. For laundry appliances and dishwashers, double-check you haven't left any stray socks or spoons behind. Find out more about our Remove & Recycle service here.
