Buyer Protection

Integrated kitchen appliances are extremely popular, thanks largely due to the way they’re able to make full use of the available space. However, they can be tricky to install, as your measurements need to be spot on for everything to fit properly. Should you find that your new kitchen appliance doesn’t fit as you’d expected, we will offer you a full refund, so you don’t need to panic.

Preparing For Our Visit

Our expert team will take care of everything when they arrive at your home, but there are a few things that you can do to make things go more smoothly. For example, if you’re having a product installed that will need connecting to either the electricity, gas or water mains, please make sure that your supply is easily accessible and that there’s plenty of room through which to move your appliance without obstruction.

Please contact us today to find out more about our installation service and the costs involved.

Delivery & Collection

At Appliance Centre, we use our own fleet of vehicles to deliver goods throughout London.

Track an order

Standard delivery

Standard Delivery is available on all products, whether they're in or out of stock. Just enter your postcode on a product page or at the checkout and you will be given a choice of dates.

  • All standard deliveries for large appliances are free.
  • There is a £19.99 delivery charge for orders of less than £100.
  • For orders of small items, there is a £6.99 delivery charge using a courier company (we currently use DPD).
  • If your order is in stock, we can offer you a next day delivery. There is a £19.99 delivery charge for the next day deliveries.
  • For larger items like range cookers, we recommend our bulky item delivery service for £29.99
  • If the product marked with "Free UK delivery direct from our supplier", it will be delivered direct from the manufacturer within 14 days. (See Delivery by our approved suppliers for goods delivered by external suppliers.)

There are a handful of postcodes we don't deliver to - please check our delivery areas.

We deliver between 9am and 6pm and someone must be at the delivery address to accept, sign for, and inspect the goods when we arrive.

To keep our prices as competitive as possible, our standard deliveries are made by one man only. Our driver will wheel your product into an unobstructed ground floor room of your choice.

As a result, we only offer our standard delivery service to ground floor properties and blocks of flats with a lift (providing the appliance will fit).

Our ground floor deliveries can include a maximum of 5 steps. Please call us if this affects your order as undelivered products caused by this problem will incur a redelivery charge.

Please refer to our Delivery Guide for a list of additional factors you need to consider when arranging delivery.

Smaller items

Smaller items are usually delivered within 5 working days, Monday to Saturday, 7.30am - 6.30pm. Some couriers may deliver slightly earlier or later.

Once your item has left our warehouse, we’ll send you an email with tracking information.

Couriers we use for standard deliveries include Royal Mail, Evri, DHL and DPD.

Larger items

Larger items, including TVs and appliances, will either be delivered by an Appliance Centre van or one of our approved suppliers.

See Delivery by our approved suppliers for goods delivered by external suppliers.

We cover the majority of London with our van fleet, and when you place an order you’ll have the option to pick a delivery date and slot as you’re going through checkout.

We always offer a FREE 3-hour standard delivery slot for large items being delivered by Appliance Centre crews.

Free London standard delivery takes from 3 working days, and the exact lead time we’ll offer you during checkout depends on your postcode and availability of delivery slots at that time.

The delivery slots are:

  • Monday to Saturday  9am - 12pm / 12pm - 3pm / 3pm - 6pm

We'll contact you by text the night before your delivery to narrow your am or pm slot down to a 2-hour window, and we'll confirm that on the day when the van leaves our warehouse.

We also offer next day delivery for an additional charge - find out more in Next Day Delivery section.

Our suppliers deliver direct to you If you live outside London, in a highland, island or rural postcode, delivery may take longer than 7 working days. We won’t offer you a delivery slot during checkout, but our carrier will contact you after you place your order to arrange delivery.  We always aim to deliver your order within 7 working days, but it’s subject to postcode and carrier availability. Check for your postcode in Delivery exceptions section below.

Next and Named day deliveries

Next Day Delivery applies to products which are in stock only. You'll need to order before 6pm the day before to access this service. Enter your postcode into the postcode checker on a product page and if the option is available, you'll be given it.

Your available delivery options will always be shown to you in checkout. We're sorry that we’re unable to offer all premium delivery services to all products or postcodes; see Delivery exceptions & restrictions further down the page.

Not free during the week? We deliver on Saturday. Just enter your postcode into any postcode checker on a product page to see if the option is available to you.

Delivery by our approved suppliers

Why am I getting my delivery from an external supplier when I purchased from Appliancentre?

In order to offer you an extended range, including specialist and personalised items, we arrange for certain products to be delivered by our approved suppliers.

Delivery in these cases will be managed directly by our suppliers, but we’ll do whatever we can to assist you in the event of any concerns.

What 'delivery by our approved supplier' means

Products labelled 'delivered by our approved suppliers' will be delivered directly by the manufacturer, or their chosen courier. By doing this, we can offer you an extended range of products.

For large, heavy items, delivery will be arranged directly by our supplier. You’ll be contacted by the supplier close to the delivery time with a proposed delivery date.

For smaller items, the supplier will not contact you prior to delivery and will despatch to you as soon as possible within your expected delivery time. If your order is overdue, contact Customer Services on 0345 017 0803.

Why is my delivery from your approved supplier slightly longer than I’d expect?

We quote the approximate lead time for delivery from our approved suppliers on the product page, so please check this before contacting us. If the promised delivery time has passed, please call Customer Services on 0345 017 0803 for help tracking your order.

Can I track my item from your approved supplier?

It may be possible for you to track smaller items - check your confirmation email or any communication from the supplier for further details. We’re sorry that you won’t be able to track large item deliveries being fulfilled by our approved suppliers. We’ll always help if you have any concerns, though please wait until your delivery due time has passed as it means we can assist you more easily.

To enquire about your order, contact Customer Services on 0345 017 0803. They will be able to contact the supplier for you and then get back to you with an update.

I need support with my approved supplier delivery as there’s been a mistake with my order, or it hasn’t yet been delivered.

If your order is overdue, or accidentally damaged in transit, or you have any query about your order, call our Customer Services team on 0345 017 0803. They will be able to contact the supplier on your behalf; please note though, that the opening hours of our Customer services team are 9am - 6pm, 6 days a week, but those of our suppliers may differ.

Delivery restrictions

Our approved suppliers reserve the right to not deliver an order if they believe the address isn't secure, for example a communal postal address or PO box. If this affects an order you place, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Our approved suppliers deliver to most postal areas in the UK. However, geographical location and courier availability can restrict delivery to some areas.

Click & Collect

If you need an item straight away, you can take advantage of our Click and Collect service and pick the item up yourself direct from our store. Please refer to our Click and Collect page for more details.

Bulky Item Delivery

Our £29.99 Bulky Item Delivery service should be used for large items, as we won't enter your property without this provision in place, unless it's a garage without steps. With a bulky item delivery, we will deliver the item inside your home, unwrap your product, remove all of the packaging and then take it with us to be recycled.

If your delivery is not to an unobstructed ground floor area, then we can provide a bulky item delivery service, but at a premium of £29.99. For a general guide on the kind of delivery you will need, please refer to the table below. If you are still unsure then feel free to call us on 0208 343 2509.

Recycling

Our Recycling

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recycling (WEEE) Directive

Our team recycles more than 1000 products every day and each one is disposed of adhering to the WEEE directive. We recycle for free and only ever charge for the cost of transporting the item to be disposed of. We also provide our disconnection service when having a cooker or TV installed as standard and the majority of our customers choose to pay a small extra fee to disconnect other types of appliance.

We’re a responsible retailer too, as every single new item of electrical or electronic equipment we sell can be recycled, with each one displayed the familiar recycling symbol seen on the right. We’ll also accept electrical and electronic products that don’t bear this mark and gladly attempt to recycle it to the best of our ability.

The Benefits of Recycling

The recycling of unwanted electrical goods is better for the environment, as it prevents lead and other toxins present to contaminate the soil and groundwater. When this occurs it can have a devastating effect on wildlife, their natural habitats and also to us humans, especially when these goods are disposed of irresponsibly near populated areas.

In this disposable age we live in, it’s easy to forget that many electrical items can be either recycled or repaired, rather than just thrown away. Doing so helps to preserve natural resources and prevents the environmental catastrophe that occurs when they find their way to landfill.

Since they became law in the UK back in 2013, WEEE regulations strictly govern how electronic and electrical goods can be disposed of, with recycling taking a central role. More information can be found on these regulations in the Government Guidance Notes published by the Department for Innovation & Skills.

The Importance of WEEE

More than 40% of WEEE is comprised of kitchen white goods, however, there are also large amounts of IT and home entertainment electronics, with more than 2 million TVs discarded each year. Other small household appliances and tools like hairdryers, kettles and electric drills are disposed of in large numbers.

Further information on the WEEE Regulations 2013 can be found in the Government Guidance Notes produced by the Department for Innovation and Skills.

Electrical goods like TVs and cookers contain a variety of materials, such as metal, glass, plastics, ceramics and precious metals, as well as hazardous materials like arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury - posing an obvious risk to health. Exposure to these toxins can happen easily, which is what makes the WEEE directive so important.

At Appliancentre, we offer a collection service on a like for like basis, meaning that if you were to buy a washing machine from us, we’d install it and take away your old one. It’s then sent to an official recycling centre to be recycled. Please note that when dealing with refrigeration appliances, there may be a small charge and please do remember to defrost and empty your appliance of water before we arrive.

We are proud to be eco-friendly retailers and to support this great initiative.
