LG started life as two individual companies, Lak-Hui (pronounced lucky), the first Korean plastics company and GoldStar another plastics company. In 1958 both companies merged and formed Lucky GoldStar and in 1965 produced the first refrigerator for the Korean mass market. The company quickly grew and rebranded to LG.
Today LG produces a vast variety of products from TVs to fridge freezers that all have one thing in common – LG's desire to create a happier, better life by providing outstanding products. LG Washing Machines
LG washing machines are packed with fabulous features and offer up to 12kg drum capacities for even the biggest loads. Many LG washers also feature TrueSteam technology, which improves efficiency and wash performance due to the combination of water and steam penetrating fabrics more effectively.
It also removes up to 99.9% of allergens from clothes and sterilises bacteria. The Direct Drive belt-less motors found on many LG machines are incredibly quiet and reliable, providing long-lasting performance. LG machines also come with a standard 10 year warranty on the motor!
LG Washer Dryers
LG washer dryers give you the best of both worlds and save you space. Many LG washer dryers feature TrueSteam technology, which supports 99.9% Allergy Care, Steam Softener and 20-minute Refresh programs that deliver thorough cleansing and garment invigoration.
Eco Hybrid Technology available on selected models, saves water or shortens the time of the drying cycle, depending on whether you choose Eco Dry or Normal Dry, making them perfect for saving energy costs. The Direct Drive belt-less motors found on many LG machines are incredibly quiet and reliable, providing long-lasting performance.
LG Tumble Dryers
LG condenser tumble dryer's are designed to keep humidity to a minimum by cleverly condensing steam generated to turn it back into water, the excess can be emptied manually or automatically. The Eco Hybrid models save energy and time by drying at lower temperatures to make sure your clothes are cared for during the drying process.
Also the Inverter Pump Technology automatically washes out the condenser up to 7 times during the drying cycle, saving you the hassle! Many models also feature Smart Diagnosis meaning you can diagnose up to 28 technical problems on your dryers.
LG Refrigeration
LG side by side fridge freezers are available in many finishes, including black, silver, white and stainless steel. There are a variety of configurations available, whether you're looking for a fridge freezer with a plumbed or non-plumbed water dispenser or maybe no dispenser at all.
All LG fridge freezers all feature Total No Frost technology improving air circulation and eliminating the need for manual defrosting. Many models have a water dispenser in the fridge door which requires no plumbing, you simply fill the container inside the fridge and you have chilled water or juice on tap when you want it.

Appliance Centre engineers use only genuine LG parts and will come out to your home to repair your appliance at a time that suits you. We complete most domestic appliance repairs on the first visit because we carry a wide range of parts on our vans. We also guarantee all LG domestic appliance repairs for 12 months, even if your appliance is out of guarantee. This means that if for some reason you are not happy with the repair or the same problem reoccurs, we will come back out and repair it again free of charge.
Please note that we only offer repair services in London.
We offer repairs for appliances that are out of their manufacturer’s guarantee. If your appliance is under warranty, please contact your manufacturer. All work will be carried out by Appliancentre trained technicians, using only genuine OEM parts.
