A washer dryers energy rating will tell you how energy efficient the model is. Ratings range from A – G, and a more efficient appliance means you’ll save more money on your energy bills. A washer dryer shows 2 labels side by side. The one on the left shows energy efficiency on a wash and dry cycle and the one on the right shows the efficiency on a single wash cycle.

Hybrid Flex Air saves energy and water by eliminating the need to heat up a large body of water. We have added an extra spray nozzle in our washer dryers that spray water directly onto your clothes so there is no need to fill the drum with water when washing smaller loads. The machine then uses its built-in heater to bring those pre-sprayed clothes up to the perfect washing temperature. We're only heating the clothes that have already been pre-sprayed, so you can feel good about saving energy while still getting those clothes beautifully clean.

Sportswear Wash-dry

The best workout to wash & dry your sportswear.
Ideal for effectively and efficiently washing and drying sports textiles, such as microfibre, fleece and synthetics. These kinds of textiles don’t usually get heavily soiled other than with sweat, so often only a short wash and rinse cycle is necessary, resulting in a short programme duration. Sports clothes are often made of synthetic fibres, so can easily crease. The temperature in this programme is therefore reduced by introducing an additional rinse before spinning.

The wash load or drum capacity on a machine tells you the maximum amount of clothes it can hold. A wash load of up to 6kg can easily handle laundry for 1 or 2 people. Between 7kg and 9kg is great for medium homes of 3 to 4 people, and anything over 10kg is perfect for big families of 5 or 6.

Choosing the right drum size for your dry load is important. If it’s too big you’re wasting energy by not filling it, but going too small means you need more cycles. Typically, an 8 to 9kg capacity is considered large and would handle the drying for homes of 3 or 4 people.

Spin speed refers to how many times your washing machine’s drum spins per minute. A faster spin speed will remove more water from your clothes, meaning they’ll dry quicker. You should only use a fast spin speed for synthetics and cottons, wool and delicates will need more special care.
